Hall of Fame pitcher Don Sutton died Monday night at his home in California after a long battle with cancer. He was 75.
Sutton only took the mound for the Brewers in parts of three seasons, but he helped deliver the American League pennant in 1982.
Sutton won 324 games during his 23-year career in the major leagues.
After the Dodgers traded him to Milwaukee, he won four-of-five decisions – including a clutch regular-season ending win over the Baltimore Orioles that boosted the Brewers into the post-season and another clutch win against the California Angels which sent the team on to the 1982 World Series.
