Not a whole lot changed in the latest COVID-19 report from the Manitowoc County Health Department.
While only 17 new cases were added, only 24 more patients were added to the recovered column. This means that the number of confirmed cases rose to 6,717, and the number of recoveries jumped to 5,750, but the number of active cases only fell by seven to 910.
Also, 5 more people were admitted to hospitals in the northeast region, bringing that number back to an even 100, however, the percentage of ICU beds in use remained stagnant at 76%.
There weren’t any new deaths reported though, leaving the death toll in Manitowoc County at 57.
That was not the case in Sheboygan County however, as one more person was reported to have died yesterday by the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health. This individual was reported to be in the 60 to 69-year-old age group and brings the death toll up to 109.
There was a bit of good news however, as only 19 new cases were added, alongside 34 recoveries. This brings the pandemic totals to 12,192 cases, 11,384 recoveries, and 699 cases remaining active.
