A three-week jury trial has been scheduled to start a little more than a year from now for the Missouri man accused of killing two brothers from Shawano County.
Garland Nelson faces two counts of first-degree murder and would be eligible for the death penalty if convicted.
The trial will be held February 7th, 2022 in Johnson County, Missouri – on a change-of-venue.
Prosecutors say Nelson shot Nick and Justin Diemel to death on his farm in northwestern Missouri on July 21st, 2019. The Diemel brothers were there to collect $250,000 dollars Nelson owed them.
