William “Bill” L. Torsch, age 73, a Manitowoc resident, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021, from a medical condition, to join his son, Paul, in Heaven.
Bill was born on November 11, 1947 in Two Rivers, WI, son of the late Louis W. and Hildegarde (Schlichter) Torsch. He was a 1965 graduate of Reedsville High School and then served four years in the United States Navy. Bill then went to U.W. Manitowoc and later to Lakeshore Technical College, graduating in 1977 with an Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Design. After working for several companies in Green Bay as an engineer, he moved back to Manitowoc.
Bill is survived by his daughter: Dawn S. Torsch; his friend: Jane Engledinger; his sister: Patricia L. (Donald) Zietlow, Manitowoc; and his brother: Gary Torsch, Reedsville. Many nieces, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one son: Paul W. Torsch; his parents; his grandparents; one sister: Jane M. Torsch; one sister-in-law: Bonnie Torsch; and many aunts and uncles.
Cremation has taken place at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, 2426 N. Rapids Road, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Thomas Pankow with burial of Bill’s cremated remains to take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc, at a later date.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, January 30, 2021, at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing when possible if you plan to attend.
