Another day, another hopeful COVID-19 report from the Manitowoc County Health Department.
16 new cases were confirmed yesterday (February 10th), alongside 30 new recoveries. This brings the pandemic totals up to 7,099 cases confirmed, 6,470 recoveries, and leaves 568 active cases.
The active case count has dropped by an average of 25 each day this month, which means if we stay on that trend, the active case count would be down to zero in 23 days. That being said, that trend will level off, as someone can only be added to the recovered column 30 days after they test positive.
In more good news, no new deaths were reported, leaving that total at 61 for the last seven days, and the number of people hospitalized for COVID in the northeast region of hospitals dropped by five to 48.
In Sheboygan County, the Division of Public Health is also reporting hopeful statistics. Only 6 new cases were added yesterday, along with 29 recoveries. This brings their pandemic totals up to 12,580 confirmed cases, 12,236 recoveries, and leaves 219 cases still active.
No new deaths were reported either, leaving that total at 125.
