For the second day in a row, the number of COVID-19 cases in Manitowoc County did not change.
Zero new cases were reported by the Manitowoc County Health Department yesterday (February 22nd), leaving the pandemic long total at 7,190. In more good news, the number of deaths didn’t change either, remaining at 63, while the number of people hospitalized for the virus fell by two to 35.
On the vaccination front, slow and steady continues to be the norm. 20 vaccinations were administered yesterday, with 10 of them being first-dose patients. This means that 16,364 people have received a vaccine, with 11,758 of them only on their first dose.
A total of 4,606 people have received both doses of the vaccine, or roughly 5.37% of County residents. About 14.9% of the County has received at least one dose.
In Sheboygan County, the Division of Public Health reported 24 new cases of the virus yesterday, raising their pandemic total up to 12,772. However, 55 people were also moved into the recovered column, raising that total to 12,515, and leaving 131 active cases.
They did not report any deaths either, leaving that total stagnant at 126.
