Milwaukee city leaders are urging Oshkosh Defense to build the new generation of electric-powered U-S Postal Service vehicles at the Century City Business Park.
A letter was set to Oshkosh Defense President and C-E-O John Pfeifer Monday.
The Post Office announced a week ago the Wisconsin business had won a contract to make between 50,000 and 165,000 of its Next Generation Delivery Vehicles over the next 10 years.
Nine Milwaukee Common Council members signed the letter emphasizing the use of the location of the former A-O Smith Corporation Tower Automotive plant location.
