Charles Francis Dickenson, age 70, died peacefully Friday evening, March 5, 2021 at Harborview Assisted Living of Manitowoc.
Chuck was born in Two Rivers on April 23, 1950 to Gordon J. and Anna Mae (Jacobosky) Dickenson. He attended Holy Redeemer Catholic Grade School and graduated from Washington High School in Two Rivers with the class of 1968. He began his career in banking before graduating from Concordia University with a degree in court reporting. After successful years in court reporting he found his niche in the airline industry. He began his airline career in 1988 working in reservations, eventually transferring to flight attendant in 1995. Chuck’s kind and humorous demeanor won over many of his colleagues with whom he bonded. His dear friend and colleague at United Airlines, Christine, states, “We just got along and worked really well together; so much so, we were recognized as one of the best crews at United.” When they were questioned where the other one was, they would reply, “Right here in my pocket.” Although Alzheimers caused Chuck to leave his career, his many bonds were never broken.
Chuck loved his travels and often spent his free time traveling with his parents. He was known for his quick wit; love of Beatles music; clean cut attire; and was rarely seen without a cup of coffee in his hand.
Chuck will be lovingly remembered by his brothers & sisters-in-law: Tom and Bette Dickenson, Mark and Karen Dickenson, all of Two Rivers; his nieces & nephews: Melissa Tarvin, Nicole Winkers (Goddaughter), Nina (Xeng) Vang, Cory Dickenson, Krista (Casey) Shaw, and Kurt Koller (Marissa DeSouto); along with sixteen great nieces and nephews: Jada, Cane, Tristan, Devilan, Huddsan, Ayden, Lylah, Reyah, Phoenyx, Nolan, Beckham, Bodie, Libby, Easton, Monica, Mackenzie; and his friend, Christine and his United Airlines family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Anna Mae Dickenson; and his niece’s husband, Robert Winkers.
Funeral services will be held at 12 o’clock noon on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd. Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Dave Pleier, with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Wednesday morning from 11:00 a.m. until 12 noon. Due to the current pandemic, social distance guidelines will be followed and masks will be required.

We won’t remember him by the way he died but by the way he lived, his quiet, quick-witted, unassuming nature, never wavering from being honest and true. We may be separate but your spirit will be with us always, Right here in our pockets.
“Grieve if you will but not for long, Upon my soul’s sweet flight.”
