Dawn Angela (Hartman) Marcoe, age 49 of Sheboygan Falls, formerly of Newton, passed away with her family by her side, in Menasha at her sister Colette & Tom Eichinger’s home on Friday, March 5, 2021. Dawn had a courageous battle and fought hard against Glioblastoma brain cancer.
Dawn was born in Oconto Falls on January 20, 1972. She is the daughter of Gerald and Sharon (Diehlmann) Hartman. She was a graduate of Kiel High School with the class of 1990 and a graduate of Lakeshore Technical College with a degree in Criminal Justice. Dawn was married to Val Jean Marcoe from 1995 until 2016. She was employed with the Sheboygan Police Department for 10 years. Dawn also was an employee of Kohler until her diagnosis in 2017. She loved to spend time with her two boys. In her free time, Dawn could be found Kayaking, reading, shooting her bow, camping, hunting, traveling, listening to music and attending concerts.
She is survived by her two children: Gavin Marcoe (Rebecca Brewser) and Colton Marcoe, parents: Gerald and Sharon Hartman, her siblings: Melissa (Rodney) Stock, John Hartman, Duaine Hartman (Deb Wichmann), Brenda Bashaw (Brian Hagedorn), Colette (Tommy) Eichinger, Johnny (Linda) Hatfield, Candida (Donald) Pence, Ted (Sharon) Hatfield. Dawn is further survived by a large family that includes aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Gaige Lloyd Marcoe, paternal grandparents: Freida and Arwin Hartman and maternal grandparents: Lillian and Albert Diehlmann and her birth mother, Mary Ann Church.
Funeral Services for Dawn will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, March 12, 2021 at St. James UCC (13312 Pioneer Road, Newton) with Rev. Dr. Patrick Schultz officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her son.
The family will greet relatives and friends at church from 10:00AM until the time of service at 11:00AM.
