A 35-year-old Manitowoc man has been sentenced in a 2020 hit and run case.
Nicholas S. Beaupre sentenced to two years on probation by Judge Mark Rohrer after he and his mother, Julie A Grimm, fled the scene of a crash on September 23rd of last year.
Grimm was reportedly driving the vehicle, and led police on a short chase before pulling over in the 800 block of South 23rd Street. Beaupre was found in the back seat of the vehicle with what was described as a “blank look” on his face, holding onto a can of air duster.
Beaupre pleaded Guilty due to no contest on a charge of Intentionally Abusing Hazardous Substance, while a charge of Felony Bail Jumping was dismissed.
