Nearly 25% of Manitowoc County residents have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
In their latest update on Friday (March 19th), the County Health Department reported that 31,351 doses of vaccine have been administered, with 19,508 people receiving at least one dose of either the Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson vaccines.
That means that, at least as of Friday, 24.7% of County residents have gotten at least one dose. Since the Health Department doesn’t issue reports over the weekend anymore, it is likely that that milestone has been surpassed already.
Also, four more cases were added Friday, leaving that total at 7,311, with 24 people being treated in area hospitals. There were no new deaths reported, leaving that total stagnant at 67.
In Sheboygan County, the Division of Public Health Reported 11 new cases on Friday, along with 7 recoveries. This brings their pandemic totals up to 13,142 cases, 12,837 recoveries, and leaves 172 cases active.
They also did not report any new deaths, leaving that total at 133.
