Wava June Dykstra, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, went home to meet her Savior on Easter Sunday, April 4th.
Wava was born on May 22, 1954 in Aplington, IA to the late Ralph and Lois (Meyer) Wessels. On September 8th, 1979 she married her true companion, Dale Dykstra at First Reformed Church in Aplington. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother cherishing her time with her family.
Throughout the years she was known for her compassionate and caring heart. Her faith was evident in many ways through her service to the church, the Mishicot School Backpack program, and to those who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Dale; three children, Kyle (Phyllis) Dykstra of Brighton, MI, Adam (Patti) Dykstra of River Falls, and Tim (Ashley) Dykstra of Rockwood; three grandchildren: Nora, Owen, and Henry; one brother, Rod (Bonnie) Wessels of Aplington, IA; and three sisters: Cinda Langhoff of Sheboygan, Karla (Kim) Verhelst of Sheboygan and Wanda Bruxvoort of Sac City, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Lois Wessels; one grandson, Aaron; and one brother-in-law, Myron Langhoff.
Visitation will be held from 4-6 PM on Friday April 9th and 10-11 AM on Saturday April 10th with a celebration of her life to follow at 11 AM at Hope Community Church: 4408 Cty. Rd. B, Manitowoc, WI. Pastor Jed Manders will officiate the service.
