The N-C-A-A has decided maybe it should broadcast the initial rounds of its 2021 Division One Volleyball Tournament from Omaha.
The organization got a lot of pushback when it announced last week that broadcasts of the matches wouldn’t start until the Elite Eight.
Shortly after that disappointing announcement came information that the first-round matches would be played in a convention center without locker rooms and the practice courts would be a sports court surface placed over cement flooring – offering the potential for injuries.
Women college athletes were already angry over issues with the basketball tournament.
Now, the first-round games will be broadcast on the E-S-P-N platform. There has been no announcement about a more logical location for players to get dressed.
