After a 2-11 start, the Pittsburgh Pirates have been playing some surprisingly good baseball.
They took a three-game weekend series in Milwaukee by winning a 6-5 game in 10 innings Sunday on Colin Moran’s R-B-I double.
In the extra frame, Bryan Reynolds was placed on second base to start, then Moran doubled him home with the winning R-B-I. Moran also had a three-run homer earlier in the game.
Milwaukee lost despite two homers by first baseman Daniel Vogelbach and one by Avisail Garcia.
Rich Rodriguez claimed the win and J-P Feyereisen took the loss.
Milwaukee kicks off a six-game road trip tonight (April 19th) in San Diego. Right-hander Brandon Woodruff starts for the Brewers.
