Former Badgers linebacker Chris Borland is involved in helping athletes and parents transition kids back into school and sports.
Borland shocked the sports world when he quit N-F-L football after one season with the San Francisco 49ers.
Following more than a year of dealing with COVID-19, Borland wants children and adults to take care of their mental health as schools work through in-person and virtual learning.
He retired from football because he was worried about repeated head injuries. Now, he says he has no regrets – or few regrets.
Borland says he occasionally watches a game and sees a player he knows he’s a lot better than – and he’ll think about the guy making $60-million-a-year.
He says it’s just a thought.
