Tax breaks will be smaller for the scaled-back project by Foxconn Technology Group going up near Mount Pleasant.
The largest electronics maker in the world announced the new agreement with Governor Tony Evers Monday (April 19th).
There won’t be $4 billion in state and local tax incentives. The agreement is expected to be approved at a meeting today (April 20th) of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.
The original agreement with the Taiwan-based company called for billions in tax breaks and promised up to 13,000 jobs for southeastern Wisconsin.
Reality will be much smaller.
Details of the deal haven’t been released.
