The Milwaukee Brewers got solo home runs from Billy McKinney, Luis Urias, and Tyrone Taylor in a 3-1 win at San Diego Monday night.
An even bigger reason for the win might be the six innings of one-hit baseball pitched by starter Brandon Woodruff. He and three relievers combined on a two-hitter.
Two of the homers came off Padres starter and loser Joe Musgrove – who had no-hit the Texas Rangers in his last start. Musgrove only allowed four hits in seven innings and struck out a career-high 13.
It’s not going to get any easier for the Padres tonight (April 20th).
Milwaukee is starting Corbin Burnes who has an E-R-A of 0.49 and has allowed just four baserunners in 18-and-a-third innings, to go with 30 strikeouts.
