The Wisconsin Badgers volleyball season has ended one match short of the N-C-A-A Championship contest.
The undefeated team that didn’t even lose many sets, let alone matches, was eliminated Thursday in straight sets by Texas.
Wisconsin finishes the season with a record of 16-and-1.
Badgers coach Kelly Sheffield says Texas needed a perfect performance to beat his team – and that’s what the Longhorns got.
Sheffield called the semifinal “an epic match,” saying his squad showed heart when it staged a third set comeback.
Texas moves on to Saturday’s championship match against Kentucky at 7:00 p-m.
