The University of Wisconsin-Madison hopes to have a new athletic director hired by the end of June.
Chancellor Rebecca Blank shared that information during a virtual luncheon Thursday hosted by WisPolitics-dot-com.
Blank says she expects to hire a “very strong person” by the time legendary coach and A-D Barry Alvarez retires.
She’s hoping to find a person who will lead U-W athletics for another 10-to-15 years.
Blank told the crowd the process will be conducted with discretion so candidates won’t be fired from their present positions for applying.
