The Friday sentencing scheduled for a Brown County man convicted of killing his wife has been delayed.
A deputy district attorney had a scheduling conflict with another case that is underway in Brown County Court this week.
75-year-old James Prokopovitz will be handed a life sentence when the hearing is held, but a new date hasn’t been set.
It’s more than a formality.
Family members will be able to make victim impact statements and address Prokopovitz himself.
The judge could also set a date for him to seek parole.
The body of Victoria Prokopovitz has never been found.
