Wayne D. Petrashek, age 65, current resident of Manitowoc, formerly of Two Rivers, died Monday, April 26, 2021 at River’s Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.
Wayne was born in Two Rivers on October 10, 1955 to John and Julia (Chadek) Petrashek. He was a graduate of Washington High School in Two Rivers and served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force (1974-1978). Wayne worked for a number of years with Garage Door Specialty of Two Rivers. In his younger days, he enjoyed bike riding and deer hunting.
Survivors include two sisters: Lorraine (Lori) Stueck of Two Rivers and LaVerne Stern of Tennessee, a sister-in-law: Gwen Petrashek, along with several nieces and nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, John and Julia Petrashek; one brother, John Petrashek; and two brothers-in-law: James Stueck and Dennis Stern.
There will be a visitation for Wayne on Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th Street, Two Rivers. No formal services will be held. Military graveside honors will take place at the funeral home to conclude the visitation at 11:00 o’clock by members of the American Legion Post #165 and VFW Post #1248 of Two Rivers. Entombment of his remains will take place at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy. 310 Manitowoc, at a later date.
