Spot starter Vince Velasquez held Milwaukee to a single run in six innings and knocked in a run himself, leading the Phillies to a 4-3 win Monday night.
The loss was the second in a row for the Brewers as Lorenzo Cain and Christian Yelich returned from the injured list. Cain belted a first-inning home run, but also struck out with the bases loaded to end the contest.
Adrian Houser gave up all four Phillies runs to take the loss.
Catcher J-T Realmuto slammed a two-run homer for the winners.
