The first visit to Wisconsin since she took office brought Vice President Kamala Harris to the clean energy laboratories at U-W-Milwaukee Tuesday.
The Democratic leader also took part in a roundtable discussion of investment in research and development as a part of the president’s $2.3 trillion infrastructure plan.
Harris was joined by U-S Senator Tamy Baldwin, Congresswoman Gwen Moore, university and business leaders, researchers, teachers, and others.
Republicans responded to the visit by saying Harris would have spent her time better by going to the U-S border with Mexico and dealing with the rapidly expanding numbers of immigrations crossing there.
