Yesterday was not a good day in Manitowoc County in terms of COVID-19.
After remaining unchanged for over a month, another individual has died as a result of COVID-19, bringing the County death toll up to 70.
Also, the number of vaccinations administered yesterday took a huge drop from where it had been for the previous few days, as only 171 shots were given, and only 45 of those went into the arms of first-time patients. This brings those totals up to 61,683 shots administered, with 33,487 of those going into the arms of first-time patients.
Also, 7 more people tested positive, bringing that total up to 7,556, while seven more people are being treated in area hospitals. That total now sits at 35, the highest it has been since March 12th.
Meanwhile, in Sheboygan County, the Division of Public Health reported only one new case, alongside 5 recoveries. This brings their pandemic totals up to 13,740 confirmed cases, 13,488 recoveries, and leaves 110 active cases.
They did not report any new deaths, leaving that total at 142.
