The Wisconsin DNR is looking to improve the air quality in the state by offering $385,000 in grant funding for projects that will help reduce diesel emissions.
While aging diesel engines often remain reliable, they produce more pollution than newer engines.
The DERA program has helped improve Wisconsin’s air quality by reducing emissions that contribute to fine particulate, ozone, and carbon monoxide levels.
More information about the program, including an application, can be found on the DNR website, namely in the Clean Diesel Grant Programs portion.
The deadline to apply for a portion of that money is 5:00 PM PM June 23rd.
