Roncalli Catholic Schools had to change the way they presented it, but the 37th Annual Pierside Auction went off without a hitch and was deemed a success.
According to Amy Hanson, the Marketing Coordinator for the School, more than 500 people registered and participated in the online bidding, which resulted in over 400-items being sold and raising a total of more than $308,000.
While that is a little less than they raised during the previous event, Roncalli Catholic Schools were able to raise more than $648,000 during the 2020-21 school year.
Candice Giesen, director of development, said in a news release, “I would like to extend my sincere thanks to our returning general co-chairs and the chair people who assisted with the auction. I also am appreciative for everyone who bid on items and showed their support of the auction.”
The Roncalli Pierside Auction provides funding for Roncalli schools primarily in the area of tuition assistance. About 65 percent of Roncalli families are on some kind of tuition assistance.
