Now that many restrictions have been lifted, many people will want to travel this summer.
State Senator Andre Jacque is well aware of this fact, so he is working on a bipartisan measure that would help attract visitors to State Parks.
The bill essentially extends the national program known as Every Kid Outdoors to Wisconsin.
The Every Kid Outdoors program offers a free pass to children to get into national parks, and for their families.
Jacque wants that program to be applicable for state parks as well and said it would be a great learning opportunity for the childre
It would also be a way to help ensure families travel throughout the state, which would likely result in more tourism dollars in the long run.
Jacque is asking for co-sponsors for the bill on both sides of the political aisle before he officially introduces it.
