Officials in Outagamie County have voted to lift their countywide mask mandate, effective immediately.
The County explained that their decision was made by following federal and state recommendations regarding vaccinated people and that they do not need to wear a mask to protect themselves from the COVID-19 virus.
While masks are now not required by the County, individual businesses and workplaces can still put their own mandates into effect within their walls.
Many larger companies, such as Walmart, have relaxed their strict mask requirements, and many people are now entering the stores without a mask.
There are some citizens who are against the easing of restrictions, however many others feel like it is about time. Others couldn’t care either way.
