A woman found passed out in the Manitowoc Walmart is now facing drug charges.
The Manitowoc Police and Fire/Rescue Departments were both summoned to the store at around 12:45 PM yesterday (May 13th) after the woman was found laying on the floor in the cosmetic section.
When EMS personnel arrived, they found a pulse, and put her into an ambulance. While she was in the ambulance the woman began to wake up and became combative.
She eventually spoke with the police officer and admitted to self-medicating for pain.
Workers at the store informed the police that they had located two small orange pills on her, and two others were found in her sweatshirt.
The woman was taken to Holy Family Memorial for treatment and charged with Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic.
