A family in Green Bay has turned a horrible tragedy into an opportunity to help others.
Elden Steinhoff died of a drug overdose in 2017 at the age of 23, which still to this day brings tears to the eyes of his family. However, they used his memory to form the EAS Foundation, and have raised thousands of dollars to help law enforcement offer aid to others who are struggling with addiction. In fact, the EAS Foundation recently donated $2,000 to the Brown County Sheriff’s Officer for the purchase of Narcan, which is used in overdose cases to help reverse the effects of the drug.
It has been reported that the Sheriff’s Office has had to use Narcan twelve times this year already, compared to 14 times all last year. If you want to learn more about the EAS Foundation, you can visit their Facebook page.
