
There are a pair of meetings scheduled for this evening in the City of Manitowoc.
First, up will be the Room Tax Commission, which will convene in the Council Chambers in City Hall at 5:30 PM.
They will be taking action on a letter to terminate the services agreement between the City’s of Manitowoc, and Two Rivers, and the Manitowoc Area Visitor and Convention Bureau.
Then the Common Council will take over the Council Chambers at 6:30 PM, where the Eagles Club will present their Officer of the Year Award to Officer Kayla Rocklewitz, and Firefighter of the Year to Captain Garrett Grissom.
Mayor Justin Nickels will also proclaim May 2021 as Building Safety Month, and the week of May 22nd through the 28th as National Safe Boating Week.
The Council will also hold several public hearings, one of which is regarding a proposed Adult Day Care on Johnston Drive.
The public will also be allotted time to voice their input.
