A 17-year-old Manitowoc man is dead and a 21-year-old Manitowoc man is in custody following a shooting late Monday night in Two Rivers.
Two Rivers Police say that Joshua Walcott was taken to the County Jail and charges related to this death investigation will be referred to the Manitowoc County District Attorney’s Office. Several others have also been arrested on charges related to the investigation and their names have not been released.
The Manitowoc County Joint Dispatch Center received a call just before midnight of a disturbance in the 1800 block of 28th Street in Two Rivers.
Officers learned that a gun was involved and someone —later identified as a 17-year-old Manitowoc man— had been shot. Life-saving measures were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
His name is not being released at this time due to his age. Authorities say its possible that other evidence may exist as the suspects fled the scene. If you locate any items that don’t belong to you or look suspicious, please do not handle them and contact authorities immediately.
