Bail has been set at $25,000 for the Green Bay man accused of robbing a Mexican restaurant with a knife.
61-year-old Walter Grant was charged with Armed Robbery and Disorderly Conduct with Use of a Dangerous Weapon.
The incident occurred just before 5:30 PM on Sunday (May 16th), as Grant entered the El Ranchito restaurant on Webster Avenue.
He reportedly went up to a female worker and asked for cigarettes. When she reached for them he allegedly grabbed her by the shirt, displayed a filet knife, and demanded money.
The cashier was able to grab a gun from under the counter, which caused Grant to let go and flee but not before grabbing $10 in cash and an unknown amount in personal checks that were on the other side of the counter.
He turned himself in on Monday, yet denied being involved in the robbery.
