Another person has died in Manitowoc County due to COVID-19. No age was given for the individual, who was the second person to die in the County this month, raising the death toll to 71.
Also, five new cases of the virus were reported by the Health Department yesterday (May 19th), bringing that total up to 7,601 since the start of the pandemic.
On the vaccination front, 303 more shots were administered yesterday, but only 58 of them were first doses. This brings the vaccination totals up to 63,753 shots administered, with 34,289 of them going into the arms of first-time patients.
Meanwhile, in Sheboygan County, the Division of Public Health continues to report that the numbers in their county are on the decline.
Only 5 new cases were added yesterday, alongside 8 recoveries. This leaves their pandemic totals at 13,774 confirmed cases, 13,555 recoveries, and leaves only 76 active cases.
They did not report any new deaths, leaving that total at 143.
