A senior at Manitowoc Lincoln High School is one of 100 upcoming graduates in Wisconsin to receive the 2021 Herb Kohl Student Excellence Scholarships.
Mia Strazny will be awarded the $10,000 scholarship at the Lincoln Scholarship Awards Ceremony on Wednesday evening, May 26th.
Excellence Scholar recipients have demonstrated excellence in the academic arena and high motivation to achieve, have displayed a broad range of activity and leadership outside the academic setting, and have shown strong promise for succeeding in college and beyond.
Strazny will be attending Northern Michigan University in the fall to study Pre-Medicine and continue her swimming career as well.
The Kohl Foundation Scholarship and Fellowship program was established by philanthropist and businessman Herb Kohl in 1990. Since then, the foundation has awarded nearly $25-million to Wisconsin educators, principals, students, and schools.
