Charlotte M. “Char” Baker, age 75, of Rockwood, died unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon, May 19, 2021 at the Aurora Medical Center of Manitowoc County.
Char was born on May 24, 1945 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Walter P. and Elizabeth A. (Mangin) Massman. She attended local area schools and graduated with the class of 1963 from Manitowoc Lincoln High School. Char worked at the former Sears Store in Manitowoc and retired from Walmart. In her free time Char enjoyed playing bingo and loved anything to do with Elvis memorabilia. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek.
Survivors include her three children: Shelley M. (Dick) Lawler, Mishicot, Christopher P. Shimek, Two Rivers, Brent P. (Jenna) Endries, Manitowoc; two grandchildren: Devin Lawler, Aubrey Endries; one brother: Peter Massman, Rockwood; two sisters and four brothers-in-law: Kathleen (Gary) Yanda, Mishicot, Joan (Bob) Kellner, Manitowoc, John Neuchter, Manitowoc, James J. Hill, Reedsville, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Walter and Elizabeth Massman; two sisters: Jean M. Hill, Margaret Neuchter.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 24, 2021 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Rev. Jeffrey J. Briones will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Monday from 9:00 Am until the time of Mass at 11:00 AM.
