Add former Brewers pitcher C-C Sabathia to the list of people in the Major League Baseball family calling out White Sox manager Tony LaRussa.
While LaRussa’s Chicago team was whipping Minnesota 15-4 Monday, the Twins put in a position player to pitch and Sox catcher Yermin Mercedes took one of his slow-slow-slow pitches and hit it out of the park.
LaRussa said that showed disrespect and he harshly criticized his own player.
Sabathia says the Hall of Fame manager, now 76 years old, is out of touch with the modern game and he shouldn’t be managing one of the best teams in Major League Baseball.
Sabathia says the situation is stupid and a manager should have his players’ backs.
