Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth says security will be tight during this morning’s (May 21st) hearing for Kyle Rittenhouse.
A pre-trial hearing is set for 10:30 a-m.
The sheriff says additional officers will be on duty keeping an eye on what goes on inside and outside the courthouse.
The 18-year-old Rittenhouse is charged with multiple felonies for three shootings during the August protests in Kenosha over the police shooting of Jacob Blake.
Prosecutors say the Illinois teenager fatally wounded Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber and injured Gaige Grosskreutz.
Sheriff Beth says his deputies will also be watching for conflicts between pro-Rittenhouse groups and anti-Rittenhouse groups.
