A couple of popular parks in Manitowoc will experience closures beginning this morning (May 24th).
Director of Public Infrastructure Dan Koski says the entrance to the upper portion of Henry Schuette Park will close for approximately six weeks due to road construction on Broadway Street and Meadow Lane.
The entrance to the lower portion of Schuette Park should remain open for the duration of the construction that is expected to be completed by July 9th. Koski says visitors will be able to park in the lower parking lot and use the trail to get to the Community Built Playground.
Meanwhile, the City’s contractor will be doing some repairs and maintenance to the open-air shelter and concession stand at Red Arrow Park.
A portable toilet will be available for use when the building’s restrooms are unavailable, and they will work around any existing facility rentals. Repairs are expected to take three weeks.
