For the second day in a row, the number of people who received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccination in Manitowoc County was in the triple digits.
In fact, of the 507 shots administered yesterday (May 24th), 307 of them were first dose shots. This brings the total number of shots given out up to 65,005, with 34,936 of those going into the arms of first-time patients.
Meanwhile, the number of new COVID cases remains low in the county, with only six new cases being reported. This brings the pandemic total up to 7,615 confirmed cases, while the death toll remained unchanged at 71.
Meanwhile, in Sheboygan County, there were 15 new cases reported by the Division of Public Health. That, coupled with 13 recoveries, brings the pandemic totals up to 13,801 confirmed cases, 13,577 recoveries, and 81 cases remain active.
Their death toll also did not change, remaining at 143.
