The cities of Madison and Fitchburg have finalized their plans to absorb the Town of Madison.
That joint annexation would eliminate the town of Madison entirely and has been in the planning for over a decade.
Madison has set up a special page on their website to help town residents through the final steps of the process, and a series of public hearings will be held in the run up to the formal annexation on October 31st, 2022.
