Bail was set at $2500 recognizance yesterday for a 29-year-old Manitowoc man after allegedly pointing a gun at a woman on Memorial Day.
Japan Moua is facing a charge of Recklessly Endangering Safety with a Domestic Violence Enhancer.
Manitowoc Police responded to a residence in the 2000 block of Clark Street and discovered that Moua was not in possession of any weapons. However, his girlfriend claimed that Moua grabbed a gun, loaded a round in the chamber, and pointed it at her before turning it on himself.
Police say the weapon was never fired and Moua claimed he never pointed a gun at either of them, regardless, he was taken into custody.
Conditions of bail are that Moua not possess any dangerous weapons or ammo, and commit no abusive or assaultive contact with the victim.
He’s due back in court for an initial appearance on June 21st at 1:30 PM.
