Green Bay Packers edge rusher Rashan Gary had a pretty good second N-F-L season for a guy who wasn’t really a full-time player.
The stats show Gary had the ninth-best “disruption rate” among the league’s qualified pass-rushers.
Next Gen Stats considers a disruption to be a hurry, a hit, or a sack on a pass-rushing snap. Gary accomplished that on more than 15 percent of his defensive plays.
T-J Watt of the Pittsburgh Steelers was first at 18.4 percent.
The stats show he had 39 total disruptions and five sacks while rushing the quarterback only 259 times last season, establishing himself as a game-changing player in the second half of 2020.
