West Bend police are investigating the drowning death of an eight-year-old boy at a birthday party over the weekend.
A family member told a lifeguard at the Regner Park Swimming Pond that the child was missing at about 5:00 p-m Saturday (June 5th).
The pond was cleared and the area was searched. The boy was found in the water and brought onshore by a group of bystanders who joined lifeguards in administering C-P-R.
The boy was rushed to Froedtert West Bend Hospital but he died before doctors could help him.
The child’s name hasn’t been released.
The Regner Park Swimming Pond was closed to the public Sunday.
