The first week of June is officially in the books, and in the first four days of the month, there were fewer new cases of COVID-19 in Manitowoc County than there were on the first day of May.
With the two new cases reported on Friday (June 4th) by the Health Department, there were 10 total cases from the 1st through the 4th, compared to 12 on each of the first two days of May.
In total, 7,642 cases have been reported in Manitowoc County, or roughly 10.3% of the County.
On the vaccination front, 356 more shots were given out on Friday, with 137 of those being first dose shots. In total 66,641 shots have been administered, with 35,775 of those going into the arms of first-time patients.
Meanwhile, in Sheboygan County, three more cases were reported on Friday, alongside four recoveries. This brings their pandemic total up to 13,849 confirmed cases, 13,643 recoveries, and only 60 cases remain active.
There were no deaths reported in either County.
