What happened?
Keston Hiura is probably wondering that, too.
After a standout rookie season that made him look like he would be one of the Milwaukee Brewers’ top offensive weapons for years to come, he’s seemingly lost the touch.
Hiura led the National League with 85 strikeouts last season while hitting just .212 and things are worse this year.
He has struggled to play a new position on defense while having an increasingly big problem with actually hitting the baseball.
The 24-year-old infielder is hitting .130 with one home run and has been striking out at an alarming 39-percent rate.
This visit to the minors will probably be longer.
Adrian Houser starts for Milwaukee tonight (June 8th) as the team opens a series in Cincinnati. You can hear that matchup on 107.9 FM WOMT.
