Sarah “Sally” K. (Gretz) Schisel, age 74, a Manitowoc resident, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 5, 2021 in Manitowoc.
Sally was born on September 17, 1946 in Denmark, WI, daughter of the late Frank and Caroline (Holl) Gretz. She was a graduate of Denmark High School with the class of 1964 and later attended LTC in Cleveland. On July 9, 1966 she married Herbert C. Schisel in Denmark. Sally was employed with Paragon and later worked and retired from K.I. in Manitowoc. She volunteered at Holy Family Memorial for a couple years as well. In her earlier years she enjoyed playing cards, taking care of her pets, feeding birds and tending to her flowers. Above all, Sally loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her three children: Timothy J. Schisel, Manitowoc, Caroline “Carrie” Vander Bloomen, Manitowoc, Jennifer L. Seefeldt (fiancé Troy Davis), New Holstein; six grandchildren: Kayla Schisel (Max John), Kyle Leiterman, Jocelyn “Josie” Stenzel (Chris Braden), Carly (Brian) Holsen, Stevie Vander Bloomen, Ryker Schmeling; five great grandchildren: Aurelia Schisel, Archer Holsen, Dominic Holsen, Roman Holsen, Scarlette Stenzel; two sisters: Fran Schmook, Carol Reznichek; one brother-in-law: Harold Prince; and one sister-in-law: Theresa Gretz. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Frank and Caroline Gretz; four brothers: Warren Gretz, Jerome (Pat) Gretz, Michael Gretz, Gale (Theresa) Gretz; three sisters: Mary Lou (Royal) Cenefelt, Monica Prince, Paulette Hofman; and an infant son: Dennis.
Cremation has taken place at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and a memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 11, 2021 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home (928 S. 14th Street), Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Deacon Alan Boeldt and burial of Sally’s cremated remains will take place at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth, at a later date.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, June 11, 2021 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m.
