Former Wisconsin Badgers hockey scoring star Cole Caufield is having no problem switching from college competition to the pressure of the N-H-L playoffs.
Caufield had an assist Monday as his Montreal Canadiens edged Winnipeg in overtime 3-2.
That was a series clincher and completes the sweep of the Jets, moving Montreal on to the semifinals of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Caufield’s team has won seven playoff games in a row and they will meet Colorado or Las Vegas next.
He has four assists in nine playoff games and scored four goals in the last 10 regular-season games.
