Manitowoc Lincoln High School ‘grad Eric Fogltanz wrapped up his collegiate running career last night at the NCAA Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon.
Fogltanz competing for the Cyclones of Iowa State University finished 12th in the semifinals of the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 50.48 seconds.
It was Eric’s best time and finish that he’s had at the NCAA championships.
After the 2020 outdoor season was canceled due to COVID-19, he finished 14th and 21st in 2018 and ’19.
The son of Don and Mary Fogltanz has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design and a Masters in Human-Computer Interaction at Iowa State.
As Eric’s father said, “Simply put, it’s been an amazing journey.”
