The Manitowoc Bandits were to have hosted Algoma tonight in their Shoreland League Home Opener, but according to Manager Chris Cisler, the game has been postponed due to personal obligations by some of the Algoma players.
Cisler indicated the ballgame will be rescheduled.
Meanwhile, the Bandits have announced plans for this summer’s Military Appreciation Day at Municipal Field.
It’ll be held on Saturday, July 10th with pre-game set for 3:45 PM followed by game-1 against the Casco A’s, followed by a Special Military Tribute and then a 2nd game versus the Kewaunee Chiefs.
There will be free admission that day (July 10th) while veterans and military personnel can enjoy a free Brat or Hot Dog and a Drink, courtesy of Novak’s Service Center.
Those attending that day are asked to bring care-package items to ship to U.S. troops deployed overseas.
